24 Peaks Challenge

  • 24 peaks in the Lake District,

  • each one over 2,400 feet (including the highest peak in England),

  • walked in 24 hours, over one weekend.

The 24 Peaks Challenge is one of the most demanding mountain walking events devised as a charity challenge.  It’s a tough physical challenge set in a stunning location, the heart of the Lake District.

The purpose of this website is simple. To bring together all the dates of organized 24 Peaks challenges happening each year, and to increase recognition of the challenge. You can find all the 2010 events that we have been made aware of, and a list of previous years events along with a few accounts of how the teams got on.

See the report of how one team got on in 2008 by clicking here.

We have also more details relating to the Challenge, and data relating to the Peaks involved. There is also a map showing the route.

We hope that the information helps you prepare for the challenge or inspires you to take it on in the first place! Good Luck.
